Höchst is a southeastern part of Dortmund in the Hörde district . The district had a total of 2357 inhabitants on December 31, 2013 and is included in the statistical district of Holzen .

The district owes its name to its location. It is located on one of the highest points in Dortmund and is surrounded by the districts of Benninghofen and Berghofen in the north, Holzen and the Sommerberg residential area immediately adjacent to Höchst in the south, and by Wichlinghofen and Wellinghofen in the west. The district stretches mainly along Wittbräucker Straße. The center is located at the intersection of Wittbräucker Straße / Höchstener Straße.

Höchst is a preferred and affluent residential area in the south of Dortmund. With standard land values ​​of up to 400 euros per square meter, the most expensive properties in Dortmund can be found in Höchst in addition to some areas in Kirchhörde , Syburg and Hörde .
