The Westfalenhalle district is a statistical district of the city ​​center-west of the city of Dortmund . It has the code number 01 and is divided into the subdistricts Westfalenhalle (011) , Südwestfriedhof (012) and Tremonia (013) .

The district is characterized by urban development. It begins southwest of Dortmund city ​​center and extends from there about two kilometers south to west like a segment of a circle. The residents of the district feel more like their grown quarters. The residential areas Kreuzviertel (north of the sub-district Westfalenhalle) and the Althoff block (in the sub-district Tremonia) are part of this urban unit.
