Aplerbeck is a district of Dortmund . It is located in the southeast of the city of Dortmund and borders the Brackel district in the north, the Holzwickede community in the east, the city of Schwerte in the south, the Hörde district in the west and the Innenstadt-Ost district in the northwest .

The district of Aplerbeck, along with the districts of Hörde and Hombruch, forms what is known as Dortmund's south , which is known for its wealthy and popular districts. The highest density of one- to two-family houses in Dortmund (41.8%) as well as the low unemployment rate and the comparatively high average income are characteristic of the Aplerbeck district. With the exception of one district in the Aplerbecker center, this is always above average. The average income is particularly high in the districts of Berghofer Mark (€ 40,200), Aplerbecker Mark (€ 40,300) and Schwerter Straße (€ 47,200) in the south of Aplerbeck . Furthermore, the above-average length of residence and the below-average vacancy rate speak for the popularity of this district.
