Bochum - industrial culture in the heart of the district is the 29th themed route of the route of industrial culture .

This themed route was first published by the Ruhr Regional Association (RVR) at the end of March 2014 , together with routes 27 (iron & steel), 28 (water) and 30 (Gelsenkirchen) that are currently in preparation.

The 77 stations include mines, iron and steel works, railway and shipping infrastructures, settlements and mining-related facilities, churches and cemeteries, settlements with their social institutions, cultural sites and companies, heaps, hiking and educational trails , symbols such as the bell of the Bochum association and landscaping such as the Kemnadersee.
