Industrial Heritage Route - Canals and Shipping
Canals and Shipping is the name of theme route 14 of the Route of Industrial Heritage .
The themed route includes evidence of the water-based transport history of the Ruhr area , which can be visited both individually and in detours using various means of transport (car, public transport, bicycle). It leads to canals , harbors , locks and ship lifts , as well as to thematically related museums. Changes by the operator Regionalverband Ruhr on the route are marked in italics .
