Route of Industrial Culture - Route of Industrial Culture and Bauhaus
Route of Industrial Culture and Bauhaus is the 31st themed route on the Route of Industrial Culture .
The themed route was published by the Regionalverband Ruhr (RVR) in October 2019 . The occasion was the 100th anniversary of the Bauhaus . As part of the “100 Years of Bauhaus in the West” program, the underlying research by architectural historian Ruth Hanisch examined the association's area for links to the Bauhaus. Many of the listed buildings were previously stops on the Route of Industrial Culture; not all of them represent Bauhaus architecture, but are highlighted as relationships to the Bauhaus.
The 18 locations on the route are divided between the three main areas of Hagen and Wetter , Essen and Bottrop, and Oberhausen and Duisburg .
In contrast to previously published routes, the locations are not offered as individual pages on the website, but only as a downloadable PDF file,
