Bernhard Küppers

Bernhard Küppers (born May 13, 1934 in Duisburg ; † May 30, 2008 in Bottrop ) was a German architect and construction clerk .

Life

Küppers was born in the north of Duisburg. He studied architecture, first at the Technical University of Hanover and then from 1958 to 1962 with Egon Eiermann at the Technical University of Karlsruhe . From 1962 to 1972 he worked in the financial construction department in Düsseldorf and the financial construction authorities in Mülheim an der Ruhr and Wesel . From 1972 until his retirement in 1999 he was in charge of the building construction department of the city of Bottrop. As part of this activity, Küppers designed and built over 35, often extensive, high-quality buildings. For this he was appointed an honorary member of the Werkbund NRW .
