Jerome Patrick Flynn (born March 16, 1963 in Bromley , Kent ) is a British actor and musician .

career

Jerome Flynn was born in Bromley, Kent to actor Eric Flynn and teacher Fern Flynn. His brother Daniel and half-brother Johnny are also in show business. He has partly aristocratic roots and is a distant descendant of Oliver Cromwell and King Edward III on his mother's side .

He started his career in Soldier Soldier (1991). With his film partner Robson Green in Soldier Soldier , he sang the song Unchained Melody , which also appeared in this film. The film's soundtrack, which also featured Unchained Melody , sold more than 1.9 million copies in the UK.

In 2007 he directed the low-budget film Rude Tales and also played the lead role in it with the same first name. From 2011 to 2019, Flynn also played the role of mercenary Bronn in the HBO fantasy series Game of Thrones . From 2012 to 2016, Flynn appeared in front of the camera with Matthew Macfadyen on the BBC series Ripper Street .

Flynn currently resides in Pembrokeshire, Welsh .
