Robson & Jerome was an English singing duo that consisted of the actor and singer Robson Green (born December 18, 1964 in Hexham , Northumberland ) and the actor Jerome Flynn (born March 16, 1963 in Bromley , Kent ) in the mid-1990s topped the English charts several times with cover versions .

biography

In May 1995 the single Unchained Melody / White Cliffs of Dover entered the English charts , was there for 7 weeks at the top and was awarded double platinum . With the follow-up single I Believe / Up on the Roof , the success continued seamlessly, as this also became a number one hit in the United Kingdom in November of that year and achieved platinum status. The album Robson & Jerome , on which the four songs of the two number one singles are included, stayed in the UK charts for 31 weeks, also reached number 1 and went six times platinum.

A year later, in November 1996, What Becomes of the Broken Hearted followed, the third number one hit in the English single charts and another platinum record. The number one album Take Two , released in the same month, earned 4 platinum trophies. With Happy Days - The Best Of succeeded in November 1997 the last time the chart entry. The compilation climbed to number 20 on the album charts and received a gold record . The album Love Songs could not build on previous successes and missed a chart listing.
