Martin Kremmer (born August 7, 1894 in Posen , † beginning of May 1945 in Berlin ) was a German architect .

During his studies in 1915 he became a member of the Black Castle Association Eberstein Karlsruhe .

Together with his office partner Fritz Schupp, he is considered to be one of the most important architects of mining facilities in the German-speaking area of ​​the 20th century. However, he not only planned and built industrial buildings, but also B. also the Martin Luther Church in Berlin-Steglitz.

In December 1937, the architects Schupp and Kremmer, as well as the architects Emil Rudolf Mewes and Karl Kohlbecker , submitted a design for the Volkswagen plant in Wolfsburg . Finally, the architects were commissioned to carry out the construction together. Schupp and Kremmer were responsible for the planning and construction of the extensive social and leisure facilities. However, most of it did not come to fruition.

Schupp and Kremmer were among the representatives of the New Building . The mine designed by them for the Zeche Zollverein 12 was added to the list of world cultural heritage by UNESCO in December 2001 .

Martin Kremmer was killed in an air raid in World War II . The estate of the architectural office is now kept in the mining archive at the German Mining Museum .
