Route of industrial culture - past and present of the Ruhr
The past and present of the Ruhr is the name of theme route 12 of the Route of Industrial Culture . It deals with the Ruhr , its function for the water and energy industry, as a transport route for shipping and for the railroad, as a starting point for industrialization and its use as a recreational area and cultural landscape.
Changes to the route by the operator Regionalverband Ruhr are marked in italics . Since 2011, the RVR has also reversed the order, since then it counts from the source to the mouth. In 2019, the association will revise the route again, it currently contains 103 stations.
