The Steiger Schwanentor is a landing stage for tour boats in Duisburg's inner harbor .

As part of the master plan by Sir Norman Fosters and Partners , the traditional pier was completely redesigned in 1994 according to the plans of this architectural office. Access to Calais- Platz and the harbor promenade has been opened, and the exit to the pier has been designed to be handicapped-accessible with ramps and pontoons. The ships of the White Fleet Duisburg depart from here on one or two hour harbor tours or special trips. The next landing point is the Steiger Schifferbörse .

The conversion work was deliberately outsourced to Duisburg-based companies in order to preserve jobs in the shipyard area. 180 tons of steel and 25 cubic meters of oak were used, ten kilometers of weld seams were made and 2000 liters of paint were used.
