The office building at the inner harbor of Duisburg is a former granary that is now used as an office and service building.

Originally, the Lehnkering company built a six-storey wooden granary next to the Schwanentorbrücke in 1886 , which soon received its first elevator. In 1889 the entire facility burned down and was rebuilt from steel and concrete in 1913 according to the plans of the Gebrüder Ludwigs Architekten, Hagen office. During the Second World War the building was damaged and had to be renovated. It fulfilled its memory function until the 1980s.

From 1993 to 1995 mg Vermögensverwaltung AG converted the storage facility as a showpiece in the master plan of Sir Norman Fosters and Partners according to the plans of the architects Braun, Voigt & Partner . Flexibly usable offices for 380 workplaces were created on an area of 11,000 m². In the western part of the building, the facade was cut open in coordination with the preservation authorities so that light can enter the inner part. A green garden with a watercourse was created in the inner courtyard. Bridges lead on every second floor from the south to the north side and somewhat seal off the open area. Terraces protrude into the interior on the upper floors.

In 1996, the house received the BDA architecture award “Good Buildings Award”.

The office building has its own porter service and a cafeteria for the tenants. There are 150 in-house parking spaces next to the building. It has been owned by MSREF Amanda Duisburg GmbH from Frankfurt since 2007.

One of the tenants is the management of Lehnkering & Cie, now one of the leading logistics companies in Europe with 2,300 employees and a turnover of around 600 million euros .

There is also a vocational training center (BTZ) in the building, where psychologists and work pedagogues work in one-year vocational rehabilitation programs to make mentally ill people fit for the first job market or retraining after psychiatric treatment.

Participants in BTZ training measures work in the cafeteria and kiosk, which are available to all tenants of the office building and their employees.
