The building of the former Müser brewery in Langendreer

The Müser Brauerei AG was a brewery in Bochum district Langendreer . It was founded in 1866 as a steam brewery Gebr. Müser by Wilhelm and Heinrich Müser , the sons of the innkeeper Johann Wilhelm Müser , after his death. He had run a brewery, a pub and a shop on Hauptstrasse since 1806. The Schultheiss brewery took over the brewery in 1960 and closed the traditional brewery in 1976. On November 1st, 1978 a discotheque called “Rockpalast” was opened in it, today “ Matrix ”.
