District class heroes

Under the title Heroes of the District Class , the Cologne television production company spin tv accompanied the work of the former Bundesliga player and coach Manfred Burgsmüller and SSV Hacheney , a football club from the Dortmund district of Hacheney, for the television station Kabel Eins during the 2004/05 and 2005/06 seasons .

The club became known throughout Germany through the commitment of the former professional soccer player and American football player Manfred Burgsmüller (active at Werder Bremen and Borussia Dortmund , among others ) as a team manager. In the 2004/05 season, Burgsmüller took over the position with the mission to keep the club in the district league B, which failed. The club rose to the district league C, the lowest division. In the 2005/06 season they were immediately promoted again.

At the beginning of the 2006/07 season, the cooperation between Kabel eins and SSV Hacheney was ended. After that, the club got into financial difficulties. In 2016 the SSV Hacheney was dissolved and became the SFC Dortmund-Süd eV.
