Mining history
There is no information about the prehistory of the mine; the mine was already in operation in 1786. From at least 1796 the mine was out of operation again. On August 29, 1838, the pit field was awarded . On March 1st, 1839, the mine was put back into operation. An old shaft was opened again . This year 787½ tons of Prussian hard coal were mined. In 1840 Prussian tons of hard coal were mined until the middle of the year. On July 20 of the same year, the mine was shut down again. Due to non-payment of the fees, the pit field later fell into the mountain free . In 1859, the rightful name was reassigned with the name Peter Wilhelm, the award of the square under the name Peter Wilhelm took place on August 31 of the same year. Subsequently, the Peter Wilhelm colliery was demonstrably in operation around 1874 and from 1919 to 1922. It is not clear from the documents when the mine was closed.
