Mateusz Cetnarski (born July 6, 1988 in Kolbuszowa , Poland ) is a Polish football player .
Career
Cetnarski played in his youth for Kolbuszowianka Kolbuszowa before he joined the club UKS SMS Lodz , which is known for its youth work . Here he took his first steps in the adult sector in 2005 before moving to UKS SMS Balucz the following summer . After a season he moved to GKS Bełchatów , the runner-up in Ekstraklasa . In the team around Łukasz Garguła , Dawid Nowak and Rafał Grodzicki , he was only a supplementary player in his first season, the following year he established himself as a regular in the attacking midfield. In the Ekstraklasa 2009/10 he contributed with five goals this season to reach fifth place in the table. He played his way into the notebook of national coach Franciszek Smuda , who, after missing the qualification for the 2010 World Cup , tested various players for the Polish national team in order to find the squad for EURO 2012 in his home country . In June 2010 he made his international debut against the Serbian selection as they were preparing for the World Cup finals. A short time later an ankle injury slowed down a possible move abroad.
Although Cetnarski had signed a new two-year contract with GKS Bełchatów in the summer of 2010, he left the club in tenth place after one season. With league rivals Śląsk Wrocław , he signed a contract valid until the end of 2015. At the end of his first season at the club, he won the Polish championship with the team trained by Orest Lenczyk around Sebastian Mila , Rok Elsner and Marián Kelemen . In the 2nd qualifying round of the Champions League 2012/13 he was still successful against FK Budućnost Podgorica from Montenegro , after two defeats against the Swedish double winner Helsingborgs IF he was eliminated from the Champions League qualification and was in the play-off In the round of the 2012/13 UEFA Europa League, the German club Hannover 96 were drawn as opponents. After a brief interlude at Widzew Łódź , he moved to league rivals Cracovia Krakow for the 2014/15 season . In the summer of 2017 it was awarded to Sandecja Nowy Sącz . After the midfielder was without a club in the first half of the 2018/19 season, third division Górnik Łęczna signed him to the second half .
