The Gottesglück colliery was a mine in the Wiemelhausen district of Bochum . The mine was in operation from 1762 to 1792.
history
The presumption was made in 1761 on the mountain Free fallen colliery lucky pot, the same year an attempt shaft was geteuft . In 1762 the deposit was opened up by a tunnel and the first coal was mined . On July 13 of that year, which took place ceremony of the length field . The dismantling continued until 1768 and a new survey was carried out in 1768.
In 1775, two tunnels in the Borgholzstrasse and Riesenacker area were in operation. Once in 1776 with a 13.5-meter-long cross-cut the outside of the crossing location, seam side bank was hit, even this seam was awarded to the mine God luck. However, the Gottesglück colliery did not pay the recess money , so that the seam of the neighboring bank fell back into the mountain free in 1777.
In 1789 the Gottesglück Erbstolln was muted; this was set, but not driven . From 1790 the mine was back in operation. In 1792 the stocks above the tunnel floor were depleted and the mine was closed. In 1835 the assumption of an inheritance tunnel was deleted. In the years 1842 and 1845 the colliery is mentioned again in the mining authority files, but no more operation can be proven in these years.
