The Gut Glück colliery was a hard coal mine in the Vormholz district of Witten . The mine was a small mine , it was also called the Gutglück colliery . The bill was on the Berghauser street, it was on the pit box of the former colliery Good luck & Wrangel in tunneling dismantled. The mine was only in operation for a few years, the owner of the gallery was Erwin Heinemann.

The small mine was put into operation in 1953 and mining began in the Geitling seam that same year. The former safety pillar of the Weselbank and United Reiger collieries was dismantled at a depth of up to 20 meters in the vicinity of the day . Here below were repeatedly workings of old mines approached and partially degraded the rest there pending coals. Most of the dismantling took place below the arable land of the Niederste Berghaus farm. As the property owners shared in the profits, they also agreed to the mining activities on their property. The shafts and daytime facilities of the colliery followed the dismantling. On August 15, 1962, the Gut Glück colliery was shut down.
Promotion and workforce
In 1955 there were eight miners working on the mine who produced 3364 tons of hard coal. The maximum production of the small mine was provided in 1957, with seven miners 4226 tons of hard coal were extracted. The last known production and workforce figures for the mine are from 1960; 3060 tons of hard coal were mined with five miners.
