The Kahrer Wiedertöpf colliery was a hard coal mine in Essen - Werden -Hamm. The mine was also known as the Kahrerwiedertöpf colliery and was only in operation for a few years.
Mining history
From 1834 the Ensdorf tunnel was driven . With four miners , a production of 8,490 bushels of hard coal was produced this year . In 1836, 1695 Prussian tons were mined. In the years 1837 to 1839 the mine was in deadlines set. From 1839 the mine was also called Kahrerwiedertäufer colliery . In 1840, the tunnel was cleared and further excavated. In 1841, the mine was initially closed again, but from March 27 the deposit was further aligned . In 1842 the mine is no longer mentioned in the documents. From 1848 the mine was back in operation. How long is not clear from the documents.
