The Louisenglück colliery to the east is a former hard coal mine in Bommern . Despite the more than 50-year history of the mine, little is reported about the mine.

Mining history

On February 10, 1834, an extension of the length field to the east was awarded . This extension was 13 measures and 18 holes . In 1870 the mine field was leased by the United Louisenglück colliery. Despite this measure, the Louisenglück colliery to the east continued to operate independently. On April 1, 1874, the mining was finished and the mine was closed. On February 7, 1883, a new contract was signed, which provided for the mining of the other deposit by the United Louisenglück colliery. In April of the same year the mine was put back into operation. Several old brake mountains were cleared . After this work was completed, dismantling began again. On January 19, 1885, the Louisenglück colliery to the east was closed. The shutdown took place together with the United Louisenglück colliery .

Promotion and workforce

The first production and workforce figures date from 1872, in that year 8905 tons of hard coal were mined by 32 miners . In 1874, 211 tons of hard coal had been mined by the end of March. In 1883, 28 miners extracted 7444 tonnes of hard coal. The maximum production of the mine was achieved in 1884 with 34 miners, 20,076 tons of hard coal were produced. This was also the last production and workforce figures for the mine.
