Tears Roll Down (Greatest Hits 82-92) is a compilation album by the British band Tears For Fears . The album was released on March 2, 1992 on Phonogram and Mercury Records .

The album was released a few months after Roland Orzabal separated from Curt Smith in late 1991. It contains 11 single releases from the three studio albums and the song Laid So Low (Tears Roll Down) , which was released in February 1992 as a single produced by Tim Palmer .

A video cassette of the same title released at the same time contains the band's music videos .

The album was awarded the second platinum record by the British Phono Association in January 2004.

Chart success

The album reached number 2 in the British album charts in March 1992 and initially lasted a total of 27 weeks. After the success of Mad World in the version of Gary Jules and Michael Andrews , known from the film Donnie Darko , the album experienced a re-entry in January 2004 and lasted for another 10 weeks.
