Three former hard coal mines are known as Minna colliery in the Witten districts of Vormholz and Durchholz . The three mines were all small mines , the owners of these mines were the Wegemann brothers. These are the three related mines Minna, Minna II and Minna III.

Mining history

In 1948 the Minna mine was put into operation and the water bank was dismantled in the seam. Two years later the Minna II colliery in Vormholz was put into operation. In the same year a shaft was sunk , with four miners 954 tons of hard coal were extracted. In 1955, eleven miners extracted 3,313 tonnes of hard coal. On February 28, 1957, the first Minna mine was shut down. On March 1st of the same year there was a change of ownership, the new owner of the small mine was now the Sinspelt I union . In 1960 17 miners extracted 4,910 tons of hard coal. In 1961, Minna III was put into operation at Kohlenstrasse 180. In 1962 the maximum production was achieved by 17 miners, it amounted to 5035 tons of hard coal. On June 23, 1964, operations on Minna III were stopped, and shortly afterwards the miners de-registered.
