Mining history

Already around the year 1734 the mine field was mined by the coal mine in Schulten Kamp . From 1740 the Schultenkämperbank colliery was in operation for several years under the name Schultenkampsbanck colliery. A small amount of coal was mined. The mine mouth hole was on the Ruhr near today's Ruhrmannshof. In 1750 the mine was shut down, although it still had supplies. In the following year, another request was made . In 1753 the Schultenkamp was dismantled using a shaft . The mine was in operation from 1755. The tunnel was driven from the Schulte meadow in a westerly direction. The coal mined was conveyed through the new shaft . This year the mine was occupied by four miners . In 1772 the delivery of coal to Kleve via the Ruhr and the Rhine began. On October 20, 1792, two length fields were awarded , one within and one outside the Horst district. In 1796, shafts 1, 2 and 7 were in operation. In 1800 the Juliana shaft was in operation. On January 4, 1801, the mine was due to lack paragraph in deadlines set. In 1814 the mine was shut down from all mining shares of the mine were now 46 Kuxe the Treasury. In the years 1819 to 1823 mining was again carried out. In 1834 the royal kuxe made an offer to sell. From June 9, 1838, the mine was again occupied by miners. Workover work was carried out until the following year . In November 1839 the Schultenkämperbank colliery was finally shut down. The reason for this closure was the unworthiness of the deposit . In 1871 the field within the Horst district consolidated with the Wecklenbank colliery to form the Horst colliery. In 1940 the field consolidated into the United Wohlverwahrt colliery . The rest of the field later consolidated into the Eiberg colliery .
