The Selle & Knäpper colliery was a hard coal mine in Hattingen- Redenscheid-Stüter. The mine was a small mine , the owner of the tunnel was the company Selle & Knäpper. The company built a dirt bank in a small scrap piece in the seam.

Mining history

On August 1, 1947, the mine on Hackstückstrasse was put into operation. The mine had a tunnel and a shaft of several tons . The coal mined in the dirt bank had a high proportion of mining , but this unclean coal could be sold in the post-war period. The small mine field in which the company Selle & Knäpper was mining on behalf of the district of Lüdinghausen had been leased by the Alte Haase colliery. As only small remnants of the seam were left, the Selle & Knäpper colliery was only in operation for a short time. On June 26, 1948, the small mine was taken out of service.

Current condition

Today the former Selle & Knäpper small mine is a station on the Alte Haase Route Nord mining trail .
