The United Bommerbänker Tiefbau colliery was a hard coal mine in the Bommern district of Witten .

It was created in 1862 according to a consolidation plan from 1857 from the Stollenzechen: Tulipan , New Tulipan, Pluto, Rosa, Cronenbank , Alte Bommerbank , Bommerbänker Erbstollen , Gideon , St. Georg, Speckbart, United Cassian , Kurzes Ende , Fortuna to the East , Fortuna to the West , St. Johannes Erbstollen , Jupiter , Saturn , Glücksstern and St. Gregorius, for the joint mining under the tunnel sole of the Bommerbänker Erbstollen.

In 1873 a civil engineering shaft was started. In 1892 the colliery produced 180,000 t of hard coal, in 1895 the workforce was over 600 people. In addition, the old Göpel shafts existed as weather shafts and in 1895 the Südstern shaft and a new weather shaft in the east field were sunk.

In 1904 the mine was taken over by the Mont Cenis mine . In 1906 the mine was closed after the riser broke.

The daytime facilities of the colliery (coal washing plant and briquette factory ) were blown up, the bricks were cleaned and used in 1912 to build a settlement on the former factory site.

From 1922 to 1925, mining was again carried out to a limited extent.

In 1928 was slag heap of coal mine, located on the Friesenstraße, 1500 Reichsmark by the community Bommern to the " gymnastics club v Bommern. 1879 ", which after a year of hard work (including moving 30,000 cubic meters of overburden ) opened his" Friesen sports field ". Until 1958 (moving to Goltenbusch), the footballers of SV Bommern 05 also played their home games here.
