zeiDverschwÄndung is an EP by the German punk rock band Die Ärzte from 2012.

The EP was on March 2, 2012 as the frontloading the album also released. The title song was first performed publicly by the band on March 21, 2012 in the Harald Schmidt Show . A music video was published for each of the four songs on Die Ärzte's YouTube channel, and there are two different videos for the theme song zeiDverschwÄndung .

Style and content

zeiDverschwÄndung ironically questions the meaningfulness of dealing with the music of the performers: The text of the chorus “Have you nothing better to do than listening to Die Ärzte?” is also performed as background vocals with stylistic borrowings from rockabilly and doo-wop . In addition to the title track, there are three songs on the EP that are not included on the album: The Quadrophenia sung by González is lyrically and musically a homage to the rock music of the 60s and 70s, the song is named after an album by the rock band The Who . Farin Urlaub Mutig is known as an up-tempo punk song and Bela B's Will You Back is a love song in the Ska style.

The GIGA editorial team was disappointed and thought wasting time was “pretty lame”.
