history
In 1551, 7 possessed men and 12 residents were documented who lived in Zeidler. The formerly independent community was documented in 1834 as a district of Fördergersdorf and therefore had the same administrative affiliation, manorial rule and church organization as Fördergersdorf. Zeidler was called Oberdorf von Fördergersdorf. With the incorporation of Fördergersdorf into Kurort Hartha in 1973, Zeidler became its district. With the merger of Hartha and Tharandt, Zeidler is part of the enlarged forest town.
