The journal for European law, international private law and comparative law (ZfRV) is a legal specialist journal and has been published by Manz Verlag in Austria ( Vienna ) since 1960 .

The ZfRV was published quarterly from 1960 to 1990 as a periodical for comparative law (ZfRV, founded by Fritz Schwind ) under the ISSN  0514-275X and was also published by Manz Verlag (Vienna) by the Institute for Comparative Law at the University of Vienna and the Austrian Society for Comparative Law. published. From 1995 to 2007 the magazine for European law (ZER, separately obtainable supplement to the ZfRV) was a supplement in the ZfRV.

The predecessors of the ZfRV are the Austrian booklets for the practice of international and foreign law , which were published in Vienna from 1956 to 1959 by the Kapri publishing house (later Kauf Verlag, Vienna). Editor and editor: Hans Koehler.

The years of the ZfRV are counted from 1960.

Editor, specialist editing and proofreading

The ZFRV is published by Manz Verlag. The editor-in-chief is incumbent on Helmut Ofner.

There are three specialist editorial teams for the ZfRV at Manz Verlag. Alina Lengauer is in charge of the European law editorial team, Helmut Ofner is responsible for the international private law department and Helmut Ofner coordinates the comparative law and international law department .

In the ZFRV, specialist articles on European law topics are published in German. A practical overview of current legislative projects, current Union law and case law on the special topics of the journal supplements the information in this area.
