The Zeitschrift für Pädagogische Psychologie (also German Journal of Educational Psychology ) is a psychological specialist journal that publishes articles from the entire field of educational psychology . It appears quarterly with an edition of 500 copies.

Profile of the magazine

The magazine is published by Verlag Hogrefe (Switzerland), which describes itself as a specialist publisher for psychology, psychiatry, medicine, care and health . The magazine is edited by Andreas Knapp (Santa Rosa, CA) and Detlef H. Rost (Marburg) and (as ass. Ed.) By Nadine Spörer (Potsdam) and Heiner Rindermann (Chemnitz). Another 20 university professors belong to the scientific advisory board.

The journal for educational psychology , founded in 1987, wants to remove the traditional boundaries between educational psychology and the other psychological sub-areas. The essays focus on questions relating to the optimization of development, education and teaching processes for individuals and groups. In line with the trends in the subject, questions relating to the design and optimization of multimedia learning environments are increasingly coming to the fore.

The contributions are written in German or English. Before publication, the contributions are subjected to an anonymous review process (“blind peer review”).
