Journal of Scientific Zoology
The journal for scientific zoology , or Z wiss Zool for short , was a biological specialist journal . It was founded by Carl Theodor von Siebold and Albert von Kölliker .
Volume 1 (1848/49) was published by Wilhelm Engelmann's publishing house in Leipzig until 1923 . Volumes up to volume 156 (1942/44) and volumes 157 (1953/54) to 186 (1973) were published by the Akademische Verlagsgesellschaft in Leipzig. Then the show was stopped.
