A newspaper rack is a way to store newspapers .

Usually newspaper racks consist of a frame on which several compartments are attached, in which newspapers can be stored sorted. Variants are also called newspaper collectors, newspaper wall holders or magazine racks. Newspaper racks can be found e.g. B. in hairdressing salons or waiting rooms of doctor's offices or in private rooms. They are offered in different price categories as home accessories or designer pieces. The architect Carl Auböck is one of the designers of newspaper stands . Commonly used materials are wood, basket and metal. Other variants can be found in public spaces. Newspaper racks and racks at kiosks, shopping centers or train station bookstores present a press overview. The tabloids and free advertising papers are offered to customers on the street free of charge in special stands or by inserting coins through a newspaper machine .

As a magazine rack or magazine rack is also called frames, formerly usually made of thin bent wood or wattle made to earlier, the newspapers were stretched to keep it unfolded and flat. They made it easier to read the newspapers in the bathtub, in the inn or in the coffee house, and helped to keep the cheap paper prints uncreased for longer for other guests to use.
