Zelfagar "Zelfy" Nazary (born January 1, 1995 ) is an Australian - Afghan football player who is under contract with the Australian club Western Pride FC and has been an Afghan national player since 2018 .

Career

Club career

Nazary was born in Australia, where he grew up in Katanning and started his career with clubs in Albany . In 2015 he signed a contract with the Australian second division club FC Balcatta and made 26 appearances and seven goals in two years. In 2017 he then moved to league rivals Floreat Athena , where he scored two goals in 25 games. For the 2018 season, the defensive midfielder moved back within the league to Olympic FC from Brisbane , where he immediately asserted himself as a regular player. In his first season he was used in 24 games and scored four times and was runner-up at the end of the season. In the middle of the 2019 season he moved on to league rivals Western Pride FC .

National team

In August 2018, Kouhyar was nominated for the first time for the Afghan national team for the game against Palestine . He finally made his debut in a 0-0 draw on August 19, 2018.
