Cellular pathology
The cellular pathology is a pathology, according to the disease to disturbances of body cells are based and its features. It was developed in the 1850s by Rudolf Virchow , who in 1855 also coined the term "cellular pathology".
As a disease concept based on the theory of cells , it replaced the humoral pathology that had previously been valid since antiquity and is thus responsible for a comprehensive revolution in the idea of disease development and disease in general. Together with microbiology , it forms a foundation of scientifically founded medicine .
