Zeng Jinyan ( Chinese  曾 金燕 , Pinyin Zēng Jīnyàn ; born October 9, 1983 ) is a Chinese blogger and human rights activist and the wife of the AIDS and environmental activist Hu Jia .

Zeng was best known for her blog, which she ran during the disappearance of her husband, believed to be the work of the Chinese secret police. Zeng was placed under house arrest in August 2006 , and her blog, which detailed her life under constant surveillance and police harassment, was systematically blocked in China. Zeng continued editing her blog.

Zeng Jinyan and Hu Jia created a 31-minute documentary, Prisoners of Freedom City, about their seven-month house arrest from August 2006 to March 2007. The couple was arrested two months later, on May 18, 2007. again placed under house arrest for "violating state security". Zeng Jinyan is depicted in Tian'anmen 2.0. and was ranked among the 100 most important people of the present by TIME Magazine as a "heroine" and "pioneer".

Zeng Jinyan was a signatory to Charter 08 in 2008 .
