Zenon (spelling: zenon ) is a software system from the COPA-DATA system house for industrial automation and the energy sector. The software was named after the philosopher Zenon von Elea .

Zenon Editor

The Zenon Editor impresses with the fact that large projects can be configured easily and modularly with it. If the basic structure has been created accordingly, project-wide changes can be implemented easily and without problems.

Zenon Runtime

The Zenon Runtime is the application that runs on the final system. The project is compiled in the Zenon Editor, which creates the runtime project. This project can now be started on the end system on which the visualization starts. The runtime is the application in which the values ​​of the controller are displayed or the system is controlled.

Zenon Editor & Runtime

With the Zenon Editor you can also customize the look of almost all user interfaces. This means that it is no problem to use your own color selection, fonts, etc. In order to make the whole thing more modular, there are color palettes which can be defined and switched if necessary. There are also styles with which the respective colors, fonts, etc. can be specified for all elements.

The Zenon Editor is also designed to create as few similar elements as possible. With substitution, for example, an overview page does not have to be created for each motor, but an overview page is fed with different values ​​when opened using various parameters. This saves storage space and maintains an overview of a large project. In order not to lose the overview, preview mechanisms are sometimes offered in order to be able to check the result in advance.

In addition, a wide range of data can be displayed using a large filter mechanism, which makes working on the final system easier. If that is not enough, there is the zenon Analyzer, which provides detailed data analyzes.

Straton

Straton is the part of the suite with which a PLC can be programmed without having to purchase third-party software. Here, too, the drivers are available for a wide variety of PLC manufacturers. The following languages ​​are available: ST, IL, FBD, SFC, LD.

Zenon Logic

This is the integrated soft PLC.

Zenon Analyzer

The Zenon Analyzer is an add-on application that is all about analyzing, disseminating and presenting data.

Smart Checklist

The Smart Checklist is an expansion module that enables user guidance to be integrated. With the module it is possible to guide the operator step by step through a work process. The operator's inputs can be recorded and used to record the work steps carried out.
