The women's singles of the Central American and Caribbean Games in 1986 was a tennis competition in Santiago de los Caballeros .

Competition mode

The 28 participants were initially divided into eight preliminary round groups of three or four players each, in which each played against each other. The first two in the group advanced to the round of 16, from which the knockout system was used.
