The Central Library of Sports Science ( ZBS or ZBSport ) of the German Sports University Cologne is the central scientific specialist library for the Federal Republic of Germany and the world's largest special library in the field of sports and sports science .

The central library for sports science is the university library of the German Sport University Cologne.

  • 011,292 electronic journals
  • 0434,381 media of which: 1,624 video cassettes and 3,882 DVDs and CDs
  • 06,136 dissertations
  • 012,475 US dissertations on microfiche and z. T. as PDF files
  • 022,796 theses
  • 08,764 volumes in the textbook collection

There are also numerous historical collections in the central library. The special collection area sports science was funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG) from 1977 to 2014 .
