Central Bone Marrow Donor Register Germany

The task of the ZKRD Central Bone Marrow Donor Register for the Federal Republic of Germany non-profit GmbH based in Ulm is the central and anonymized administration of all data that are collected within the individual donor files in Germany in order to enable the search for potential stem cell donors.

These bone marrow donor files include (to name just the most important):

All relevant criteria are continuously updated and compared with international partner organizations. The ZKRD also forwards search queries for German patients to them. The work of the ZKRD is part of international networks such as the European Marrow Donor Information System (EMDIS) and the World Marrow Donor Association (WMDA).

The ZKRD is a 100% subsidiary of the DRK blood donation service Baden-Württemberg - Hessen .
