Camera models

In 1959 , the manufacturer, then a family business, began producing single-lens system roll film cameras with bayonet connections for medium format Nikkor lenses supplied by Nikon (models deLuxe , S , S2 , C , S2A , EC and EC-TL ). As a special feature, they had a focal plane shutter, a complex oscillating mirror mechanism in which the mirror was not only folded away, but also moved backwards so that lenses that penetrated deeper into the camera were possible, a device that allows the film magazine to be attached independently of the Locked tension enabled (in contrast to e.g. Hasselblad ), as well as a bayonet that had two different mounts for lenses. The EC-TL was already equipped with TTL exposure metering. This model series was discontinued in the early 1980s and replaced by the SQ.

The well-known newer medium format cameras from Zenza Bronica include u. a. the single-lens reflex cameras (SLR) of the ETR series (ETRS, ETRSi) with film format 4.5x6 cm , the SQ series (SQ-A, SQ-Ai, SQ-B) with film format 6x6 cm and the GS series (GS-1) with Film format 6x7 cm . All SLRs of the above newer series were based on central shutter lenses .

The corresponding interchangeable lenses are called Zenzanon ; A distinction is made between the Zenzanon PE , Zenzanon PS and Zenzanon PG series .

In addition, with the RF 645, a roll film viewfinder camera for the 6x4.5 format with its own interchangeable lenses was launched at the end of the 1990s. At the end of 2004 the SLR series ETR, SQ and GS were discontinued, at the end of 2005 also the RF 645.
