Jane Zhang

Zhang Liangying ( Chinese  张 靓 颖 , Pinyin Zhāng Liàngyǐng , born October 11, 1984 in Chengdu ), also known under the name Jane Zhang , is a Chinese singer who is particularly known for her command of the highest voice register , the whistle register .

Life

Zhang's father worked as a mechanic for a transportation company , her mother as an office worker. During her childhood, Zhang performed several times at her parents' workplace. Her father died when she was 13, which prompted her to perform publicly, with instrumental accompaniment from her uncle. After schooling she began a foreign language studies at the Sichuan University with a focus on English studies , however, it broke off to the TV contest Super Girl participate 2005 (超级女声), where she reached the third place in the People's Republic of China national got known. Since then she has released several successful albums and received a number of awards.
