The Zhangjiajie National Forest Park (Chinese 湖南 张家界 国家 森林 公园) is a national park of the city of Zhangjiajie . It lies in the province of Hunan , in the central eastern part of the People's Republic of China . It covers an area of ​​48.15 km². It belongs to the Wulingyuan area, which covers 397.5 km² and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In August 2016, the longest glass-floor bridge in the world at 430 meters and also the highest glass-floor bridge at a distance of up to 300 meters from the ground was opened in the park . The suspension bridge carries 800 people at the same time and is designed to allow 8000 tourists to cross every day, its 99 glass panels are 6 m wide. Almost at the same time, a glass path was opened that winds its way around a steep rock in the Tianmen Mountains.
