The Changshan Islands ( Chinese 长 山 群岛 , Pinyin Changshan Qundao or 长 山 列岛 , Changshan Liedao ) are the second largest island group in China . They are located in the Yellow Sea to the east of Liaodong Peninsula province Liaoning . They consist of over a hundred islands, including Dachangshan大 长 山 岛, Xiaochangshan小 长 山 岛, Guanglu广 鹿岛, Zhangzi獐子 岛 and Haiyang海洋 岛, of which Dachangshan is the largest. The islands form Changhai County , which is part of Dalian City in Liaoning Province.
history
After the Japanese-Russian War , the Changshan Islands were annexed by Japan and returned to China in 1945 .
