Zhaocun

The Zhaocun site ( Chinese  爪 寸 遗址 , Pinyin Zhǎocùn yízhǐ , English Zhaocun site ; sometimes also called Zhuacun site (Zhuacun site)) is a paleolithic site near the Luan He river in Zhaocun village in Qian'an , Tangshan , in the northeast of the Chinese province of Hebei .

1958 and 1973 some mammal fossils as well as stone and bone artifacts were found in the grayish marl and sand layers of the second terrace of Luan He . They date from 40,000 years ago.

The Zhaocun site has been on the list of monuments of the People's Republic of China (6-4) since 2006 .
