The Luan He River or Luan River ( 灤 河 / 滦 河 , Luán Hé ) is a river in the northeast of the Chinese province of Hebei .
It is 833 km long. From its source in Hebei Province, it flows northwards into Inner Mongolia and then south-eastwards back to Hebei. It flows into the Gulf of Bohai ( Bo Hai ) between the Laoting and Changli districts . Between the cities of Chengde and Qianxi lie the reservoirs of Panjiakou ( 潘家 口 水库 , Panjiakou shuǐkù ) and Daheiting ( 大 黑 汀 水库 , Dàheiting shuǐkù ).
