Laoting
Laoting ( Chinese 樂亭 縣 / 乐亭 县 , Pinyin Làotíng Xiàn ) is a district of the prefecture -level city Tangshan in the northeast of the north Chinese province of Hebei . It has an area of 1,308 km² and has 490,000 inhabitants. Its main town is the large municipality of Laoting ( Chinese 樂 亭鎮 / 乐 亭镇 , Pinyin Làotíng Zhèn ). In this place name, the character 乐 is not read - as usual - yuè or lè but instead lào .
The former residence of Li Dazhao ( 李大釗 故居 / 李大钊 故居 , Lǐ Dàzhāo Gùjū ) has been on the list of monuments of the People's Republic of China (3-10) since 1988 .
