Zheng Dekun

Zheng Dekun ( 郑德坤 , Chêng Tê-k'un ) (* 1907 ; † 2001 ) was a Chinese archaeologist from Siming , Xiamen (Amoy), in the Fujian province . Zheng graduated from Yanjing University , the western stages of his life included Harvard University and the University of Cambridge . He was a professor of fine arts at the Chinese University of Hong Kong .

His Archeology in China appeared in three volumes from 1959 to 1963 ( Prehistoric China , Shang China , Chou China ) with a supplementary volume : New light on prehistoric China (1966). Other works by him are Archaeological Studies in Szechwan (Cambridge: University Press, 1957) and Studies in Chinese archeology (Hong Kong: Chinese Univ. Press, 1982).
