Zhongxing-20A (also called Chinasat 20A or ShenTong 1-02) is a Chinese communications satellite .

He was 24 November 2010 at 17:09 CET (00:09 local time on November 25 to) with a launch vehicle of the type Long March 3A from the Xichang Satellite Launch Center brought out into geostationary orbit.

The three-axis stabilized satellite is equipped with 4 × Ku-band and 8 × C-band transponders and, according to an official announcement, is to provide radio and television from its position in China. It was based on an improved version of the DFH-3 - satellite bus of the Chinese Academy of Space Technology built and has a design life of eight years. Chinasat 20A also offers secure voice and data communication. The predecessor satellite Chinasat 20 was also launched from Xichang on November 14, 2003 by a Long March 3A. The satellite, stationed at 103 ° East in geostationary orbit, is said to have been used by the Chinese People's Liberation Army for secure voice and data connections in the Ku band. It is unofficially assumed that Chinasat 20A will be used as the successor satellite for Chinasat 20.
