The Sonnette is a river in France that runs in the Charente department in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region . It rises in the municipality of Saint-Laurent-de-Céris , generally drains in a westerly direction and flows after 22 kilometers in the municipality of Ventouse as a right tributary into the Son , which is called Son-Sonnette from this point on .
