Beaulieu-sur-Sonnette is a French municipality with 207 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Charente in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine (before 2016 Poitou-Charentes ); it belongs to the Arrondissement Confolens and the canton Charente-Bonnieure (until 2015 Saint-Claud ). The inhabitants are called Belusois .

Beaulieu-sur-Sonnette is about 35 kilometers north-northeast of Angoulême . Beaulieu-sur-Sonnette is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Chassiecq in the north, Turgon in the northeast, Parzac in the east, Cellefrouin in the south and Ventouse in the west and southwest.
